In
2001, the Juvenile Justice Commission opened this new
144-bed facility in Bordentown. The state-of-the-art
$16 million facility serves as a comprehensive intake,
assessment and classification system for young male
offenders sentenced to the Commission. |

This
facility is separated into six pods each accommodating
24 juveniles and includes a separate area where juveniles
are processed into the Commission's custody. One of
the six pods is designated specifically for parole violators. |

|
|

The
facility offers a full educational curriculum, recreation,
medical services and religious opportunities. |
